USA Network’s The Rainmaker, based on John Grisham’s best-selling 1995 novel and starring John Slattery (Mad Men) tops the Promo Mojo ranker for the week ended August 10, making it TV’s most-promoted show. The Rainmaker, which also was turned into a movie in 1997 starring Matt Damon, premieres August 15 on USA and on streaming service Peacock.

USA is joined by two fellow cable networks: Food Network, which whets appetites for Chef Grudge Match in third place and The Great Food Truck Race in fifth; and HGTV, which builds excitement for Renovation Resort Showdown in fourth.

The sole traditional broadcaster on the list: CBS, which hypes the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (set to air live on CBS and simulcast on MTV on Sunday, September 7) in second place.
